20-year-old Kaur has decided to take some time off social media after she received rape threats and was trolled for her comments on the Ramjas college violence.
On February 24, 20-year-old Delhi University student Gurmehar Kaur posted this picture to protest the violent clashes between the ABVP and other students at Ramjas College.
Kaur was instantly the target of internet trolls and rape threats.
With celebrities such as Virender Sehwag and Randeep Hooda adding to the harassment, she withdrew, she withdrew from the campaign against the violence with these tweets earlier today.
In response, her professors from the English department at Lady Shri Ram College — where she currently studies — wrote a statement on Facebook to support her.
